recording artist Corey Brooks has been nominated for
Music Evangelist of the Year for the 2009 ICM
Awards. Corey is no stranger to the ICM stage, he has
received multiple nominations from the Christian Country
Music Association (Male Vocalist 2008, ) and took home
the win in 2005 for Youth in Music and in 2006 for
New Artist of the Year.
Corey gives all glory to God and is honored to even
be considered for this category. "This means so much to
me!" says Corey. "God has let me use my music as
a way to reach people... I know that my calling
isn't just to sing music, it's definitely a
ministry. So, whatever platform He gives me I
will use it to glorify Him!"
I can't think of a more fitting award for
Corey. I've been keeping up with him during his
summer tour. Around 40 people have professed to
accept Christ as their personal Savior and others have
been inspired to answer God's call to work in
ministry. Now that's a music ministry!
